The ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre successfully organized 5-days Training programme on “Hands-on Training on Spawn Production and Mushroom Cultivation” during 05th – 10th March 2026 sponsored by AICRP on Mushroom. The aim of the training was to impart basic skills on spawn production and mushroom cultivation to the enthusiastic rural youth. Dr. Mathew Seikholen Baite, Scientist, PI AICRP on Mushroom, served as the Organizing Secretary and presented brief talk on spawn production and Oyster mushroom cultivation. The program provided trainees with hands-on technical training in spawn production and mushroom cultivation. Altogether 16 trainees (male:6, female:10) hailing from different villages of Chumukedima district attended the programme. Mushroom cultivation related basic inputs like spawn, PP bag and sprayer were distributed to the trainees.
