ICAR KVK Dimapur Organized Swachhta Pakwada

        ICAR Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dimapur, under the leadership of Dr. Phool Kumari, Senior Scientist cum Head, organized a successful Swachhta Pakwada from December 16th to 31st. The fortnight-long campaign, led by Dr. Moanaro (In-charge of Swachhta Abhiyan), aimed at raising awareness on cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
        Key activities included Swachhta Pledge Day where participants vowed to maintain cleanliness. Awareness Programs on sanitation and waste management. Cleanliness Drives in public spaces and the KVK campus. Green Drive to promote tree planting. Community Outreach programs to engage local villagers in cleanliness efforts. Kisan Diwas Celebration emphasizing sustainable farming and environmental care. An Essay and Drawing Competition for 25 school children on “Swachhta: A Collective Responsibility.” Wastewater Recycling Demonstrations and cleaning of local public places.
        KVK Dimapur staff, including Dr. Bendangla Imsong CTO, Plant Breeding, Ms. Marneni Divya Sree, SMS, Agril. Extension, Mr. Gulshan Kumar, SMS, Fruit Science, and Dr. Chingakham Sima Chanu, SMS, Home Science, played a vital role in ensuring the success of the initiative.
        The event was a significant step in fostering a cleaner, healthier environment and raising awareness about the importance of collective responsibility in maintaining cleanliness.
