KVK Peren successfully organised the programme of "Inauguration of Common Facility Centre (CFC) /Processing Unit for FPOs under TSP Project" at KVK Peren office Jalukie Town on 25.03.2026. The programme has been chaired by Dr. L. Babita Devi (CTO-Animal Science) and the welcome address given by Dr. K. L. Meena (Pr.Sci.&Head). The programme is graced by Shri. Sizin Rentta (EAC, Peren) as Chief Guest. He appreciated the KVK Peren and marks significant steps towards strengthening agricultural Eco system. He mentioned that earlier farmers produce only for consumption. He encourages the FPOs to avail and take the opportunity to setup the processing unit for value addition. Dr.I.Shakuntala Devi (Dean, CoVSc&AH, Jalukie) as guest of honour. She congratulate the whole team and gave an idea how to maintain initially during the unit start up like power supply, maintenances cost etc., support from other departments, arranging 4-5 persons for training to operate the processing unit. Dr. H. Kalita (HoRC, ICAR-Nagaland centre) as President of the programme. He encourages the FPOs to follow the operational guidelines for the CFC, collection of money to maintain the unit, proper maintenance of data/register for utilization. He also motivate for unit development and upgradation in future. At this inauguration programme MOU was signed with the four FPOs in presence of the officials, BODs and shareholders of the FPOs. Later dignitaries inaugurated the CFC and formally handover the processing material to the all the chairmans of the four FPOs (FPO Peren, FPO Tening. FPO Ahthibung, FPO Jalukie) of the Peren District through Momerandum of Understanding. The Ex-Nodal Officer of FPO & Project Leader Dr. L.Babita Devi presented the activities of all 4 FPOs since from the FPO inception. All the FPO member farmers, FPO chairmans, CEOs, accountants were actively participated and witnessed the programme. Dr. Prashant Kalal (SMS-Fruit Science) gave the vote of thanks.
