PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas Celebrated at KVK, Anjaw with Live Webcasting of Prime Minister's Address

        Khupa, Anjaw District, Arunachal Pradesh, and June 20, 2026: Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Anjaw, in coordination with the District Agriculture Department, successfully organized the PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas Programme at Khupa, Anjaw District. The programme featured the live webcasting of the Hon’ble Prime Minister's address and the release of the 23rd installment under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana. A total of 159 participants, including 75 female and 84 male attended the programme. The programme was graced by Hon’ble Chief Guest, Smt. Dasanglu Pul, Minister for Women and Child Development, Government of Arunachal Pradesh. Guests included Shri Millo Konji, Deputy Commissioner, Anjaw, Ms. Julity Mihu, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Hayuliang; representatives from ZPMs of Chaglagam, Hayuliang, and Hawai; the President of Kisan Morcha, Anjaw; officials from ARSLM; members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and other stakeholders.
        The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. Debasis Sasmal, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Anjaw, who welcomed all dignitaries and participants. He highlighted the objectives of PM-KISAN Utsav Diwas and emphasized the importance of government initiatives for the welfare and empowerment of farmers and Felicitation to the Guest.
        Addressing the gathering, Smt. Dasanglu Pul spoke about the significance of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana in supporting farmers' livelihoods. She also emphasized the importance of balanced fertilizer use, adoption of organic farming practices, and sustainable agricultural development for enhancing farmers' income and ensuring environmental conservation. In his address, Shri Millo Konji, DC, Anjaw, highlighted the benefits of the PM-KISAN scheme and discussed the importance of the "Khet Bachao Abhiyan" for the protection and sustainable management of agricultural land. Shri Mantaw Bellai, ZPM, Hayuliang, also addressed the gathering and encouraged farmers to adopt organic and natural farming practices for long-term agricultural sustainability and improved soil health.
        The participants then watched the live telecast of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji's address from Hooghly, West Bengal, where he released the 23rd installment of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi directly into the bank accounts of eligible beneficiaries across the country. During his address, the Prime Minister motivated farmers to adopt modern technologies, sustainable agricultural practices, and government-supported schemes for improving productivity and income.
        The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Ugarsain Sangwan, SMS (L&WME), KVK Anjaw, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, distinguished guests, officials, farmers, SHG members, FPO representatives, and all participants for their active participation and support in making the programme a grand success.
