Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting of KVK Anjaw

        The Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Anjaw successfully organized its Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting at the ADC Office Hayuliang on 19th February 2026. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including Co-chairman Dr. Doni Jini (Online mode), Head of ICAR-RC Basar, Arunachal Pradesh; Chief Guest Shri Julity Mihu, ADC Hayuliang, Dr. Bhagish Kumar, Scientist, ATARI Guwahati (Online Mode) and Special Guests from various state departments—Shri T. T. Hai, District Horticulture Officer; Smt. Olik Jomang, District Fishery Development Officer, Smt. Anni Lego, Agriculture Development Officer, Shri. Gida Sima, Circle Officer, Manchal, Shri. Dew Yanglo representative of District Veterinary Officer and Shri. Michi Bida Buda, Consultant of NABARD.
        Progressive farmers Mrs. Pomroliang Thalai, Mrs. Teveliang Simba, Mr. Sobenso Manyu, Mrs. Yegamglu Manyu from Nenuliang, Zero, Hayuliang and Rittiliang villages participated in the meeting alongside KVK staff.
        Dr. Debasis Sasmal, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Anjaw, delivered the welcome address and felicitated the distinguished guests. He presented the Annual Progress Report 2025, highlighting the various activities and achievements of KVK Anjaw over the past year.
        Following this, the Annual Action Plan for 2026-27 was presented by the respective Subject Matter Specialists: Mr. K. Naveen, SMS Agronomy, Mr. Satveer Yadav, SMS Horticulture, Mrs. Pooja Singnale, SMS Home Science, Dr. S. Peter, SMS Agricultural Economics, Mr. Ugarsain, SMS Land & Water Management.
        The progressive farmer spoken about their experience in learning new things from kvk staff and implementing in practical fields and they are very happy with the KVK services given in different specialization.
        The action plan was thoroughly reviewed, and valuable recommendations for modifications on rejuvenation of large cardamom, value addition of underutilised crops, focusing on low volume high value crops, work in coordination with line departments, cover all the circles under trainings and proper utilization of loan schemes for income enhancement among SHGs. were provided by the Co-chairman, Chief Guest, and Special Guests to enhance the impact of KVK interventions.
        The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Pooja Singnale, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their participation and insightful contributions.
