In a significant step towards encouraging the Agri Graduate students to take up Agripreneurship,
three days Entrepreneurship Development Programme for Agri-Graduate was organized by ABI ICAR Manipur Centre at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region,
Manipur Centre, Lamphelpat, during 26th – 28th March, 2025. A total of 31 Agri Graduate students from different colleges participated in the programme.
The inaugural programme was graced by Prof. Ng. Iboyaima Singh, Dean, COFT, CAU as the Chief Guest, Dr. Ch. Basudha Devi, HoRC ICAR Manipur Centre as the
President and Dr. Kh. Rishikanta Singh, Sr. Scientist and In charge ABI Manipur Centre as the presidium member.
During the training, deliberations were made on vegetable nursery production, innovative mushroom production,
vermicompost production, scientific bee keeping, approaches for profitable poultry, ornamental fishery-based entrepreneurship, application of tissue culture
in entrepreneurship, prospect of citrus based entrepreneurship, Rapeseed & Mustard based entrepreneurship and overview of ICAR-NEH ABI. As part of the training
programme, an exposure visit was made at College of Food Technology, CAU, Lamphelpat and CAU-NEC Model Farm, CAU, Imphal. Out of the 11 interactive sessions,
there were 9 offline classes, one hands on practical on food processing and two online class by Dr. S.S. Roy, ICAR-CCRI, Nagpur, Maharashtra and Dr. RK Yogi,
ICAR-Indian Institute of Rapeseed-Mustard Research, Bharatpur, Rajasthan.
